On the spaceWeather.com site I noticed an amazing time lapse movie showing disks of ganymede and Io with hints of detail. A 12 inch telescope and a modest camera were used by Mike Salway to capture this and other impressive planetary sequences and stills.

Remarkable. The Jupiter animations are almost as good as the far encounter Voyager movies, and this by an amateur using a 12-inch scope! Thanks for posting this, Don.
