What seems to be layers in the distribution of water and co2 ice as measured by CRISM.
Note the various images are taken at different dates, which results in the differences between measurements per image

Colors are meaningless in themselves, they just mark area's with identical (within certain bandwidth) measurements of levels of water and co2 ice.

IR Brightness as measured by CRISM for same area, colors note IR brightness with lightgreen minimal and red highest. There does not seem to be a correlation between the layers and the IR brightness.
