Ah. Now I can put a name to a 'blurry' face biggrin.gif
Well done Keri...I mean aggieastronaut!
aggieastronaut
Thank you smile.gif

And for the curious, since it seems there's several rover sites on Facebook, I run this one: http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1044841632

Yeah - that was a cool interview with DC, and a last minute rush to fix up the 'turtle' image for him. I'm really pleased with the finished article!

Sweet to see you guys get such great press from JPL itself...I mean, like wow! Congrats, and well deserved!
brellis
kudos Doug, a great moment for the community!
CosmicRocker
Someone posted the link to that article on IRC a couple of days ago, and I truly felt privileged to be a member of the space exploration enthusiast community as I read it.

Bravo, to all of you who enable this community to communicate and most importantly, to those who allowed all of us to access the wonders of the universe as they are revealed to the experiments of our planet's most inquisitive species. As I consider the implications of such fresh and freely available exploratory information, I find myself at a loss for words.

I liked the earlier, simpler montage image better than the blurry, cluttered one that JPL is using now. smile.gif

edited: I forgot to mention...Congratulations to you, Doug, for carving out a place on the network where space exploration can be enjoyed so enthusiastically by so many.

It's a good article to briefly explain to our friends what it is we do with all our time here.

Wow, well done! I've never seen an internet forum being so well respected with of course good reason. Proud to be here for quite a while now, even if not really contributing. smile.gif

As with most of us, for Doug it all started at the age of 18 ... finally someone explained what we're doing here laugh.gif

Actually, I haven't had much time to update the photos section (it says 11 months ago was the last update! ohmy.gif) so if you (or really any of you!) want to beef up the photos section, PM me and we can work something out!

Great articles smile.gif That social sites montage image reminds me strongly of my ideas for collaborative space exploration.

ABC 15 in Phoenix picked up the Socialising on Mars story.
Seems to be word for word from the original JPL article.
