Thought I'd start this thread to help summarize Mimas imagery. Here is a map update with some northern gap filling images from mid-2008. I was alerted to this in another thread. The other images in the map have now been renavigated using PDS data along with an improved triaxial ellipsoid and mapping routines.

At the AGU conference I saw the Cassini/DLR poster mentioning an updated Mimas map with new north polar coverage. It is available via the CICLOPS website at 1440x2880 resolution. To give it just a bit more resolution I remapped it to 4K in width, then reprojected the hi-res Herschel image on top. So this latest version is on my website here:

I'm currently working on a further update that would look more like my map from 2 years ago, though it now uses the 2012 official mosaic as a basemap instead of the Voyager map I'd been using. I'm directly using one of the images from the June 2012 flyby as well.

That's the latest,

Steve

Greetings,

I've made a new revision that maps ~15 images covering about 90 percent of Mimas, with about 10% of the CICLOPS/DLR basemap showing up as well. The link below has 4K images both with & without feature names overlain.

That's the latest,
