smile.gif Thanks also to the MRO, the Mars Pathfinder site has been viewed twice already at nearly the same Mars local time :
- PSP_001890_1995_RED.jp2 taken on 12 December 2006 (w/28.5 cm/pixel resolution) at 3:35 PM ;
- PSP_002391_1995_RED.JP2 taken on 1 January 2007 (w/29.8 cm/pixel resolution) at 3:31 PM.

So, the same process was made with the overlap of the 2 pictures retrieved from the LPL site at their maximum resolution (as "full JPEG 2000" images), like the process done before for the Viking 1 landing site
(link : http://www.unmannedspaceflight.com/index.p...ost&p=97402 ).

==> The resulting image is shown on the right (with the original "001890-1995" LPL image on the left).
Enjoy ! smile.gif

Was it ever decided if the rover can be seen in these images ?
the object we can see is the lander

http://hirise.lpl.arizona.edu/PSP_001890_1995 - that deals with the issue of finding Sojourner - I'm fairly confident that there's an item seen by HiRISE that doesn't have a matching feature as seen by Pathfinder - which is interpreted as Sojourner, being in a realitic resting place.
