I was wondering if anyone had read this book recently, and could coment on it?

Solar System Evolution: A New Perspective
Stuart Ross Taylor
edstrick
What's the copyright date? I have his (would have to check titles) "Lunar Science: A Post Apollo Perspective" from the late 70's and a expanded sequel with a title something like "Solar system science...." from a decade later.

Both DAMNFINE books, though technical. Lunar Science was the first book that took the overwhelming datadump from the "rockfests" (Lunar Science Conferences, then Lunar and Planetary Science Conferences) and produced an integrated geology text of Lunar, then planetary geology AND petrology AND geochemistry. If this is new, I'm very glad to see Stu's still avtive. I had some great talks with him at LPSC's, some one-on-one at lunch, a number of times. Helluva nice guy.

Ed,

The copyright is from 2001. There is however a more recent 2005 edition.
