And in case you're wondering what it looks like, here's one little tile from the global mosaic. This is the southwest corner of Mare Orientale. These NIR images will generally look a bit better than the UVVIS camera mosaics in low latitudes.

Just ignore me! I was thinking of the long wavelength infrared instrument data. LWIR shows relief much better at low latitudes. These Near IR images are not very different in appearance to the UVVIS, except they are at lower resolution. LWIR data are still not available in a useable cleaned-up mosaic form, but when (or if) they are, they will be excellent.
