Nirgal
After quite a long break here is the latest addition to the Alien Landscapes series .. this time from above as
viewed through the ultra sharp eyes of the MRO Camera smile.gif

(Actually, I find that the view from HiRISE resembles more of an sight out of a not too high flying airplane
or even helicopter window, thus creating the impression of a real landscape flight-over as opposed to a more distant "from space" orbiter/sattelite-view)

Awe-inspiring, Nirgal...thanks!!! smile.gif

The planet looks more & more like southern Utah or Arizona with each shot...I keep looking for the interstate cutting across the frame! biggrin.gif

ohmy.gif ohmy.gif Everytime I see one of your jaw-dropping creations Nirgal I think that either you have your own secret spaceship that gets you to Mars to actually take pictures out of the window, or you've sold your soul to the devil in return for some supernatural colourisation skill... No idea how you turn black and white images into works of art like that, I'm just glad you do.

Outstanding.

Excellent as usual, Bernhard.

My thoughts exactly! Much of the Martian plains look a lot like the American Southwest from above. I can recall flying out to Phoenix and being able to clearly follow the shoreline of the ancient inland sea.

The land tells its tales... all lands tell them. I'm just glad that, in the case of the Martian lands, we're finally listening... smile.gif

"Me too", my first thought when I saw Nirgal's last effort was "Four Corners".
