Hi all,

looking at the phantastic MRO images published so far at the MSSS site, I thought that the high-res black and white CTX images would look even better in color ..
So here is my attempt at a colorization of the CTX6 image (Juventae Chasma)

(I actually did the color image in full resolution (6 meter/pixel) but due to current problems with my web space provider and the 1-MB attachment-limit, I post here the 24-meter/pixel version which still shows the impressive resolution of the MRO camera smile.gif

Ustrax, Stu, Ant

thank you so much for the nice words which are really appreciated smile.gif
This one took me quit a bit of work and it's one of my personal favorite Mars images too ..
so I'm very glad you too like it ...

I'm also encouraged to do more image processing with the MRO data in the future
(also to keep me busy after the eventually inevitable end of newly incoming MER imagery wink.gif

Actually the very good resolution and dynamic range of the MRO (even the B&W ones) images make them
particularly well suited for further processing like colorizing ...

P.S.: BTW I've also been into coloring some of the "best of" MGS images, a selection of which I'm going to post in the forum soon ...

Nirgal,
Realy one of the best image of Mars I've seen so far smile.gif
You know what? I first thought it was Soup Dragon but I realised it was not when I clicked on the image.
Can't wait for what you've promised to show us smile.gif
