Sunspot
Has Opportunity started "Rating" or examining the bedrock which lies beneath the lighter coloured "outcrop" rock which it has been studying up until now? Lots of images coming, but im a little confused as to which parts of Endurance i'm seeing.

latest forward hazcam image from the exploratorium site:

I think it has. There are at least 2 in this image:
RAT

One is in the sunlight while the other is in the shadow of the rover.

We at least have a naming guide now to the layers, which will help to distinguish what we're seeing in the Endurance MI's:

With that in mind, I've got some mosaics of the various MI work and with front haz cam as my guide, a pretty good idea where they've come from.

From layer A (if layer A extends much further up the slope):

Here's where i'm hypothesizing exactly where the MI is pointing, from the front haz's

Sunspot, and as a continuation to your posted images, check out the rear hazcam image of the previously ratted stone (Tennessee I believe?) dislodged by the rover blink.gif

WOW, cool image.

It's not what the IDD arm was initially designed for, but i wonder if they could lift some these rocks or turn them over?
