Yes, although it's pretty well buried at the moment, a thread on this journal was started a few months ago.

Ooops... I did not see that thread before posting here. I do hope that more papers are forthcoming. It's been two months with nothing new -- although there could well be other papers in the pipeline.

I downloaded that Edgett article a while back and it is very nicely done. It looks like an interesting overview of the geology of the Meridiani region, largely from an orbiter remote sensing point of view.. I haven't finished it yet, but I like the way they have packaged up the pdf and all the images so you can click the links in the paper to see a higher resolution png image separately.
