I have built most of those listed above. In addition to them being lots of fun, they are also very handy to show at lectures and displays for the public, especially to get kids interested in science !!

Please see my recent post (#21) on the 2 LEGO MER models at this Spirit thread on "Mer Model for you Desk".

Come on, where is your creativity?

Use your King Arthur and Farm lego #274 - Mix and match. (The Shields make good high gain antenna, and the tractor wheels work well for the Rovers.)

Somehow this title sounds like pornography. I dare not do a Google image search on it.

I looked at it more closely, it's Galileo not Pioneer.

I'm gonna make an extra effort make a larger more detailed Lego version.

Ken:

FWIW, the Brio wooden pushalong railway sets are a joy for toddlers. They're easy to purchase here in the UK as the Early Learning Centre stores carry their products (a chain which specialises in 'good' toys which kids actually like). They have neat touches like trains with built in magnets so that you can join up carriages, etc. Great for parents, ideal for grandparents!

There's just not enough room for the angry hordes on that nice back patio of yours.
