For those who do not have access, note that Elsevier/ScienceDirect typically offers free online access to each year's first published issue of any given journal, access that expires at the end of the year. In this instance, the publishers are offering free online access to the January 2006 issue of Planetary and Space Science. If the previous link doesn't work, try this one.

Note there is one MER-related article.

Thanks, Alex. I grabbed that MER article without a hitch.

You're welcome, CosmicRocker. I realize it's virtually impossible to obtain articles from Elsevier/ScienceDirect journals without institutional access, so that's why I occasionally post notices to free papers.

BTW, the first 2006 issue of Advances in Space Research is to be published shortly, and given the Elsevier/ScienceDirect policy, it should be offered as a freely accessible issue. Until that happens, though, the first ASR issue of 2005, Advances in Space Research (Volume 35, Issue 1, pp. 3-174 (2005)), a special issue entitled "Mars International Reference Atmosphere, Living With a Star and Fundamental Physics," is still freely available online, so you may wish to download articles from it as soon as you can.

I do appreciate your comments about new papers since it is difficult for me to keep up with all of the journals. I recently discovered that my son has access to at least Nature and Science at his school, and am getting some papers from him. Now I have a backlog of things to read...luckily I have a 4-day weekend to catch up. smile.gif
