Oppy cleared a couple of small dunes a day ago:

But that alternate path seems to be blocked by the dunes at the right (west).

With these pictures, the first thing is to go in straight up between drifts up to the next outcrop closet to rim and see about the feasibility the ways to approach to the rim.
