Very interesting images Neville -- I particularly like the MSL 4350 lower half image. Going all the way back to page 40 of this thread, I see nothing that looks like the rock with grey polish, or the blue rocks. Sadly, most of your Gigapan images no longer have valid links in the earlier thread pages.

This is Jan's panorama for sol 4355 in circular form. It shows we are approaching the next topographic step down.

Fredk, will your MSL raw image site keep on going after UMSF closes?

Absolutely. The only change I've got planned is migrating domains - please access the site at http://cosm.ca/msl/, though the old lcdm.ca address will still work for a while.

For anyone unfamiliar with my site, the main attraction is mastcam images auto-deBayered as they come in, with the ability to batch download. You're welcome to reprocess etc and post, though I ask for attribution to fredk (in addition to NASA/JPL-Caltech/MSSS of course).

(Some of today's mastcams aren't showing the deBayered links on the main pages due to a drive failure, but all the deBayered images are accessible via batch download.)

The regular links will be back with the next json update.

I should've added that my site will keep running as long as the MSL json files don't change format. If that happens all bets are off...
